Home Deck and Fence Company’s story began over 25 years ago when Charles Edward Gill Sr., known as Sando, found himself laid off from his job. Around the same time, his son, Eddie (Charles Edward Gill Jr.), was ready to leave his factory job. They’d already built decks, fences, and outdoor structures for friends and family, so Sando suggested, “Why don’t we start building decks for others?” From that moment, a family business was born.
Over the years, Eddie put his heart and skill into growing the business, building a name known for quality and trust across Middle Tennessee. Eddie’s son, Charlie (Charles Edward Gill III), started tagging along to job sites at 6 years old, learning the trade firsthand from both his father and grandfather.
Today, Charlie is a licensed and insured general contractor, co-owning the company with Eddie, allowing them to take on larger, more complex projects.
Now in its third generation, Home Deck and Fence Company combines Sando’s craftsmanship, Eddie’s dedication, and Charlie’s expertise to bring quality outdoor spaces to homes throughout Middle Tennessee. It’s a legacy of hard work and family pride that has stood the test of time—and it’s still going strong today.
